Workshop Experiences

Workshop experiences are a completely bespoke session created just for you along with your friends, loved ones or group. They are an ideal time to make something unique either to take home and cherish or as a collaborative group artwork - perhaps a sampler for a baby, bunting for a wedding or birthday gift for that someone special who deserves something created just for them.

These experiences are perfect to celebrate life events or simply to gather together with friends to enjoy some creative time together. They are also ideal for pre-existing groups including textile and embroidery groups, WI groups, craft groups or those who would like to try something different. The outcome of the workshop experience is completely focussed on your interests as a group.

Workshop experiences can cover all types of hand embroidery, free motion embroidery as well as other textile techniques such as design, using unusual materials or exploring texture in textiles. Previous experiences have focussed on making bunting for a new baby's room, exploring textured designs, visible mending garments and making banners.

Don't worry if you don't know exactly what you would like to do - I can help you with that.

Experiences are taught in the same way as my other workshops - they are designed to enable all participants to create stunning artwork that is unique to them rather than everyone creating a replica of my sample. That may sound a little daunting at first; however I have lots of ways of helping with this and people are often surprised with what they're able to do. Materials are all provided, though you're also welcome to bring anything you would like to use during your workshop experience.

I am more than happy to travel across the UK to your group or to book a fabulous space for the workshop in or around Saltburn by the Sea. Some groups like to come to Saltburn for a creative get away - an embroidery workshop combined with our beautiful beach, stunning views, delicious food from a number of places as well as lovely places to stay.

Costs of workshop experiences vary depending on the length of the workshop, the number of people in the group, what materials are used and if I need to travel. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance payable at the end of the workshop. My workshop cancellation policy applies to these bookings. Generally speaking, workshop experiences are usually less per person than booking on to my in person workshops.
