Spring Days, a framed hand embroidered artwork inspired by the beautiful colours of Spring; pinks, purples and dusky hues of colour popping out in nature. The artwork is hand embroidered on to naturally dyed fabrics, with the embroidery responding to the patterns and markings made by nature during Spring.
 
Spring Days is for those who like to bring nature into their home through art; it adds a beautiful finishing touch to rooms and equally makes a perfect gift for that special person. Inspired by the Spring and being out in nature in beautiful places, Spring Days evokes memories of quality time spent together.
 
The natural dyeing for this artwork was done in my studio, after collecting different plants and flowers. It takes several days to complete the process, with some fabrics left in the dye for a longer time to create the different hues you see in them. The fabrics pieced together by hand before being meticulously hand embroidered using tiny stitches with either vintage or naturally dyed thread.

Spring Days is created using naturally dyed fabrics, and therefore it is not advisable to hang in direct sunlight as this will cause the fabrics to fade.
 
Spring Days will come beautifully and expertly packaged to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition, with free postage via Royal Mail. If you would prefer, collection from Saltburn by the Sea or events that I am attending is welcomed. I can post directly to a recipient and include a hand written card, please message me to arrange.
