Group Workshops

Group workshops are designed for either organised groups such as embroidery, cultural, museum and WI groups or informal groups such as friends and family members. These workshops are ideal to come together for a creative time to make either individual work to take home or to create a collaborative artwork, perhaps to celebrate a life event, to display at a wedding or to gift to someone special.

The outcome of the workshop is completely focussed on your interests as a group; you may like me to deliver one of my existing workshops or create a workshop that is bespoke for your group. If you aren't sure what you would like to do, I can help with ideas and suggestions.
 
Workshops can cover all types of hand embroidery, free motion embroidery as well as other textile techniques such as design, using unusual materials or exploring texture in textiles. They are tailored to meet the level of embroidery experience of your group and suitable for beginners to the more accomplished embroiderer alike. 
 
Group workshops are taught in the same way as my other workshops; they are designed to enable all participants to create stunning artwork that is unique to them rather than everyone creating a replica of my sample. That may sound a little daunting at first, however I have lots of ways of helping with this and people are often surprised with what they're able to do. Materials are all provided, though you're also welcome to bring anything you would like to use during your workshop.

I am more than happy to travel across the UK to your group or to book a fabulous space for the workshop in or around Saltburn by the Sea. Some groups like to come to Saltburn for a creative get away - an embroidery workshop combined with our beautiful beach, stunning views, delicious food from a number of places as well as lovely places to stay.

Costs of group workshop vary depending on the length of the workshop, the number of people in the group, what materials are used and if I need to travel. They usually work out to be less per person than my regular workshops.  A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance payable a month before the workshop. My workshop cancellation policy applies to these bookings.
