Remembering, embroidered and mounted on to a wooden vintage sieve, explores looking back at the past and recalling it; the dress is slightly unravelling as memories become distorted over time. The pale brown sieve with it's beautiful markings perfectly complements the deep purple reds and navy blues of the embroidery. The embroidery is mounted with the base of the dress coming out of the sieve, referencing how memories escape and making a further three dimensional feel to the artwork.
 
The dress and lady wearing it are completely made from thread, allowing elements of the sieve to shine through. Remembering looks stunning displayed on a windowsill, with light streaming through. Equally, it can be displayed on a shelf, mantelpiece or in a cabinet. Remembering is for those who enjoy thought provoking, unique artwork in their homes. The techniques used to create this artwork mean it is impossible to reproduce another the same.
