Fragments of Memories a framed conceptual piece of silk paper and embroidery art exploring the fleetingness of memories, how they become disjointed and lost over time. The whispery strands of silk with flashes of purple, pinks, greens and yellow embedded in a white base of silk fibres remind us of those precious memories.

Fragments of Memories is a delicate, transient piece of artwork manipulated to create a relief sculptural effect with swirling, curvilinear embroidered details using vintage threads on a base of silk fibres to emphasise the preciousness of memories. It encourages consideration of past events, times gone by and the more simple day to day memories that make us who we are.

Fragments of Memories is for those who enjoy abstract conceptual art that encourages thought and conversation to be displayed in their home. It makes a special, thoughtful gift for family, friends and loved ones and is an ideal addition to the lounge, entrance hall, bedroom or study. Due to the materials used, Fragments of Memories is not suitable for damp rooms such as the bathroom or kitchen.

The materials and techniques used to create Fragments of Memories ensures that it is a unique piece of artwork that cannot be replicated. The black frame measures 45 x 45 centimetres, with the artwork measuring approximately 37 x 37 centimetres.
