Autumn is hand embroidered directly into a wooden, vintage square sieve full of beautiful markings and signs of past use. The threads are vintage threads, adding narrative and layers of history to this unique artwork. Autumn features embroidered seed heads in shades of browns, dark oranges and mustard yellows, and is inspired by Autumn walks along a beck in a valley.
 
Autumn is a one off and unique artwork, and adds a spot of joy to the room where it is displayed bringing back memories of times spent in nature and the enjoyment that it gives. This artwork adds intrigue - at first glance it is not obvious how the embroidery is attached to the sieve and naturally encourages the viewer to take a further look. Autumn looks fabulous displayed on a window sill to allow the light to come through, making shadows that change as the day evolves. It can equally be displayed on a shelf or mantelpiece - a welcome addition to any room of the home or office.
