All The Pinks a statement piece of textile art referring to how mostly women cook and undertake household chores. Taking an everyday piece of kitchen equipment - the vintage metal colander - and hand embroidering lines of delicate pinks in different shades. Pinks were selected as they are noted to be a feminine colour.
 
The deep grey of the vintage colander, worn and marked beautifully though age, contrasts with the shades of vintage pink threads used to create the embroidery. This textile artwork is unique, created in my studio using hand embroidery to reflect the hours spent on household chores every week and month. Unlike household chores, it was enjoyable to create this artwork!
 
All The Pinks is for those who like statement pieces of artwork with a contemporary twist to inspire thought and conversation. It can be hung or displayed with ease in any room of the home, including the kitchen.
