Tudor House Museum

This year long residency was to explore the vast and unusual history of the building and to tell the story in an exhibition of textile artwork. Whilst in residence at the museum I worked with a wide range of people to engage those who would not normally access arts and museums. I also worked with volunteers to learn about the history and to share skills with them. I led a project to create a Tudor style embroidered pelmet for the bed, using only those styles and stitches used in the late Tudor period. Whilst at the museum I worked in public areas to encourage conversations about art and history.
