This workshop will guide you to create your own piece of Boro embroidery that is unique to you. Using the guidance you'll learn about Boro, how to select and layer fabrics as well as possible uses for your artwork.

Boro embroidery comes from the Japanese term boroboro meaning something that is torn, repaired or tattered. It is a technique used to repair, strengthen and lengthen the life of all sorts of textiles from clothing to bedding and anything in between.

You will need

- small pieces of fabrics; you may like to use pre-loved fabrics in keeping with the Boro tradition

- a base piece of fabric

- threads

- needle

- scissors

- pins

These instant workshops are PDF downloads that you can work on anytime, anywhere at your own pace. They are perfect gifts for creatives or yourself, especially if you find it hard to get to in person workshops. The workshop is yours to keep to refer back to time and time again, developing new skills and creating different textile artwork.

They are based on my in-person workshops, full of creativity and boosting your confidence through making art that is uniquely yours. There's lots of hints and tips in the workshop and if you need any further guidance you can always contact me.

This luxury set is all about elevating your work to a new level and taking some time for you. The one to one hour long lesson is online and explores what you need to complete your Boro Embroidery. Perhaps you would like to focus on the placement of fabrics or choosing special fabrics, or finishing off your work to the highest standard possible. The lesson is yours to decide what to work on; kindly note that the lesson is to work on your Boro embroidery not other projects. We'll also discover what other projects can be worked with Boro embroidery.

These exclusive coasters designed by Louise Goult are perfect for that necessary tea or coffee when being creative! They are laser etched onto beautiful wood in my studio, before being sealed and a cork back applied to protect your surfaces.

The needleminders are exclusive and designed by Louise Goult. They're ideal to keep those needles and pins from escaping. They are laser eteched on to wood in my studio and come complete with magnets to hold your needles and pins.

The embroidery accessories kit consists of two embroidery hoops, a sqaure of calico (ideal for the base for your Boro embroidery) a pack of needles, snips, thread storage cards, needle threader, 4 skeins of stranded cotton and a handmade needlecase. The needlecase and threads will vary from kit to kit.

The set will be beautifully packaged and sent first class post to yourself or the recipient. Postage is included within the cost of the set.

Please add a note at the checkout to say which coaster and needleminder you would like; if no note is left a random selection will be made for you. To arrange the one to one lesson please contact me.
